    Get PDF
In this paper, we investigate system performance in term of throughput and ergodic capacity of the hybrid time-power switching protocol of energy harvesting bidirectional relaying network. In the first stage, the analytical expression of the system throughput and ergodic capacity of the model system is proposed and derived. In this analysis, both delay-limited and delay-tolerant transmission modes are presented and considered. After that, the effect of various system parameters on the proposed system is investigated and demonstrated by Monte-Carlo simulation. Finally, the results show that the analytical mathematical and simulated results match for all possible parameter values for both schemes

Energy harvesting over Rician fading channel: A performance analysis for half-duplex bidirectional sensor networks under hardware impairments

    Get PDF
In this paper, a rigorous analysis of the performance of time-switching energy harvesting strategy that is applied for a half-duplex bidirectional wireless sensor network with intermediate relay over a Rician fading channel is presented to provide the exact-form expressions of the outage probability, achievable throughput and the symbol-error-rate (SER) of the system under the hardware impairment condition. Using the proposed probabilistic models for wireless channels between mobile nodes as well as for the hardware noises, we derive the outage probability of the system, and then the throughput and SER can be obtained as a result. Both exact analysis and asymptotic analysis at high signal-power-to-noise-ratio regime are provided. Monte Carlo simulation is also conducted to verify the analysis. This work confirms the effectiveness of energy harvesting applied in wireless sensor networks over a Rician fading channel, and can provide an insightful understanding about the effect of various parameters on the system performance.Web of Science186art. no. 1781

In this paper, we investigate the inverted pendulum system by using real interpolation method (RIM) algorithm. In the first stage, the mathematical model of the inverted pendulum system and the RIM algorithm are presented. After that, the identification of the inverted pendulum system by using the RIM algorithm is proposed. Finally, the comparison of the linear analytical model, RIM model, and nonlinear model is carried out. From the results, it is found that the inverted pendulum system by using RIM algorithm has simplicity, low computer source requirement, high accuracy and adaptiveness in the advantages

Automatische Erkennung von Model Smells in Simulink-Modellen

    Get PDF

A model with vectorlike fermions and U(1)XU(1)_X symmetry: CKM unitarity, bsb \rightarrow s transitions, and prospect at Belle II

To address the muon g2g-2 anomaly and the violation of the lepton flavor universality in the semileptonic decays of BB mesons, B\'elanger, Delaunay, and Westhoff introduced a new sector consisting of vectorlike fermions and two scalar charged under an extra U(1)XU(1)_X gauge symmetry. The exotic Yukawa interactions in this model lead to the quark mixing responsible for the additional contributions to the flavor changing neutral currents in BB-meson decays. In this paper, we derive the analytic expression of the new physics contributions to the Wilson coefficient C7C_7 in the effective Hamiltonian. By calculating the branching ratio of the inclusive radiative BB decay, the impact of current experimental data of the bsγb \rightarrow s \gamma transition on the model and the future prospect at the Belle II experiment are investigated. Taking into account the recent data on the CKM unitarity violation, the updated constraints on the flavor observables relevant to the bsb \rightarrow s transitions, and the perturbation limits of the couplings, the viable parameter regions of the model are identified.Comment: 28 pages, 14 figure

EFFECT OF BLASTING ON THE STABILITY OF LINING DURING EXCAVATION OF NEW TUNNEL NEAR THE EXISTING TUNNEL

    Get PDF
In recent years, experimental and numerical researches on the effect of blasting pressure on the stability of existing tunnels was widely obtained. However, the effect of the blasting pressure during excavation a new tunnel or expansion old tunnels on an existing tunnel has disadvantages and still unclear. Some researches were carried out to study the relationship of the observed Peak Particle Velocity (PPV) on the lining areas along the existing tunnel direction, due to either the lack of in situ test data or the difficulty in conducting field tests, particularly for tunnels that are usually old and vulnerable after several decades of service. This paper introduces using numerical methods with the field data investigations on the effect of the blasting in a new tunnel on the surrounding rock mass and on the existing tunnel. The research results show that not only predicting the tunnel lining damage zone under the impact of blast loads but also determination peak maximum of explosion at the same time at the surface of tunnel working

Muon g2g-2 and semileptonic BB decays in B\'elanger-Delaunay-Westhoff model with gauge kinetic mixing

In the model proposed by B\'elanger, Delaunay and Westhoff (BDW), a new sector consisted of vectorlike fermions and two complex scalars is charged under an extra Abelian symmetry U(1)XU(1)_X. In this paper, we generalize the BDW model by introducing the kinetic mixing between the U(1)XU(1)_X and the standard model U(1)YU(1)_Y gauge fields. The new physics contributions to the muon anomalous magnetic moment and the Wilson coefficients C9,10()C_{9,10}^{(')} are obtained analytically. We have explored the free parameter space of the model, taking into account various constraints on the muon g2g-2 using recent data from the E989 experiment at Fermilab, the lepton universality violation in terms of RKR_K and RKR_{K^*}, and the branching ratios of the semileptonic decays, B+K+μ+μB^+ \rightarrow K^+ \mu^+ \mu^- and B0K0μ+μB^0 \rightarrow K^{*0} \mu^+ \mu^-, the LEP and LHC searches for sleptons and ZZ' boson, as well as the perturbative requirement. The viable parameter regions of the model are identified. In the presence of the gauge kinetic mixing term, those regions are enlarged and significantly deformed in comparison to the case with vanishing kinetic mixing. In the near future, the E989 experiment with the projected sensitivity will be able to test significant parts of the currently allowed parameter regions.Comment: 36 pages, 23 figures. Non-classical properties and generation schemes of superposition of multiple-photon-added two-mode squeezed vacuum state

    Get PDF
In this paper, we study some non-classical properties and propose the generation schemes of the superposition of multiple-photon-added two-mode squeezed vacuum state (SMPA-TMSVS). Based on the   Wigner function, we clarify that this state is a non-Gaussian state, while the original two-mode squeezed vacuum state (TMSVS) is a Gaussian state. Besides, the SMPA-TMSVS is sum squeezing, as well as difference squeezing. In particular, the manifestation of the sum squeezing and the difference squeezing in the SMPA-TMSVS becomes more pronounced when increasing parameters r and e. In addition, by exploiting the schemes of photon-added superposition in the usual order, we give some schemes that the SMPA-TMSVS can be generated with the higher-order photon-added superposition by using some optical devices

In this paper, the system performance analysis of a two-way decode and forward (DF) relaying network over the Rician fading environment under hardware impairment effect is proposed, analyzed and demonstrated. In this analysis, the analytical mathematical expressions of the achievable throughput, the outage probability, and ergodic capacity were proposed, analyzed and demonstrated. After that, the effect of various system parameters on the system performance is deeply studied with closed-form expressions for the system performance. Finally, the analytical results are also demonstrated by Monte-Carlo simulation in comparison with the closed-form expressions. The numerical results demonstrated and convinced the effect of the system parameters on the system performance of the two-way DF relaying network.
